Great Resource

This is not a quick read, but a well written overview of the basics of well log analysis. It taught me what I needed to know and answered all my questions to get through a petroleum geology exercise in analyzing logs, and I had a leg up on everyone in the class. If you put the time in to read this it is a great tool.

In the modern world, examples of the tradition in American and Russian political cultures and politics, as well as Carl Schmitt's distinction between friend and enemy and its international implications, especially the EU, are examined. Finally, identity politics in Finland, Karelia, and Lapland are presented as a problem of the definition of Europe. Harle claims that phenomena like ethnic conflicts, political extremism, neo-Nazism, and anti-Semitism are nothing new and are not independent of one another; instead, as Harle shows, they are examples in a long chain of tradition and interconnected through that tradition. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for International Studies, the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1996-1997. The Book for Every Parent!

I met Dr. Myles Munroe once when he visited a local church here in Wilmington, NC. I spoke with him after the service and I mentioned to him that I was a single father raising my daughter and I was considering getting his book The Fatherhood Principle: Priority, Position, and the Role of the Male. But he suggested that I get this book "Kingdom Parenting", which I wasn't aware of. So I listened to him and purchased the book...and I'm so glad I did! This book is great for parents. Myles is one of my favorite authors and he's a great teacher, so you can't go wrong with this book.

Hands on Blueprint for Christian Parents

Today's parents face opportunity and challenge every day as their children move from the cradle to college, from toddler to teen. In this collaborative effort Myles Munroe has joined with David Burrows to provide parents with this guide book on Christian parenting.

Myles Munroe established foundational goals for parenting, with principles for training children in matters of behavior and discipline. David Burrows concentrates on building relationships with your teenagers and introduces some "connecting principles" for establishing these relationships.

An excellent, helpful, study guide is included prepared by Jan Sherman. These probing questions for self assessment help the reader assimilate the material to take the appropriate steps to interact with other family members.

The guide is rich in providing relevant Scriptures and Biblical principles for parenting. The study guide is also suitable for use in a study group with other parents, or for interactive family study.

Suggestions for a parenting scrapbook and a teen scrapbook are also provided. Pages for journaling and notes help the reader take personal ownership of these foundational principles. The narrative is written in crisp style, with clarity, and well organized, to help the reader identify with the challenge and apply the solution.

This book in an excellent reference source for people seeking a job in health care. The book has a very good section on the 12 most likely to be asked questions during an interview in a health care job. This book truly prepares a person starting from the resume to the actual interview.

Pre shoot inspiration

Like the previous reviewer said, this is a great resource to leaf through before shooting a couple. The images are from a wide variety of professional photographers, so the style, locations, subjects all vary greatly, so no matter where you are or how and who you shoot, you can use this book as a starting point. The emphasis is primarily on romantic couples, so if you are an aspiring wedding or engagement photographer, this book could be especially helpful. It could also be a good resource for more seasoned photographers who want to expand their posing options, and try new things. The photos are also organized into types of poses, i.e., head and shoulders, waist up, 3/4 length seated, 3/4 length standing, and so on. If you need help with posing ideas, this is a resource you should have in your library.

Just what the Photographer Dr. ordered

This is the 4th in book in the 500 pose series and it is just what the Photography Dr. ordered.
This book is not one to look for lighting diagrams and tech info. What you do with this source book is
study the poses just before you go to the shoot to get a clear idea of what you want or need to produce.
The other benefit is its shows you a varitey of settings and people of various shapes and sizes. This is one of the few books I will not loan out Get Your Own Copy

Guess I was expecting more from this book than just 500 images of couples posing. Some of the photos had an outdated feel and some were just plain hokey looking. I think you would get better results doing a google image search for engagement photos.
