About the Author
Kevyn To, M.D., is a former recipient of the American Medical Association Foundation, Excellence in Medicine and Leadership Award and the founder of Advisor Prep Education Services. A graduate of the State University of New York, Upstate College of Medicine, he began admissions consulting as a medical student in Syracuse, New York and has since helped many applicants succeed in obtaining admission to top medical schools, competitive health professions, top medical residencies and fellowships. After completing medical school, he pursued residency training in Radiation Oncology at the Juravinski Cancer Center and Princess Margaret Cancer Center. He was among the first participants in the original pilot M.D. program Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI) circuits at McMaster University School of Medicine in 2003 and has previously served as an MMI interviewer, CASPer (Computer-Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics) assessor and a clinical skills instructor for the M.D. program, Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University. In addition to possessing extensive knowledge about the MMI and traditional interview processes, he has also served as a reviewer for McGraw Hill Medical Publishing.

Very helpful to practice with. I used this for the last couple of weeks before my MMI along with a couple of other resources (there was some british video of students answering MMI questions you can watch online for some money) and an ethics book with MMI style writing and I got in to my top choice. Don't know if I can attribute it to the book, but it helped provide the confidence I needed for sure

Required reading this day and age

This was one of the books I bought to help prepare me for the vet school interviews. I was ultimately accepted to Michigan State University for veterinary school as an out-of-state student!!!!! Michigan State Vet School started using MMI interviews this year and this book really helped to mentally prepare me for the interview process and increased my comfort with this new interview method.

So VERY GLAD I bought this book

This book came recommended from my school’s premed advisor and I’m sure glad I purchased it. For starters, I am an anxious person so knowing what to expect helped calm my nerves. Sure there are lots of free practice MMI scenarios on the web, but most of them do not have reliable solutions to know whether I am on the right track in my answers. Anyways, to make a long story short, the book was an easy read and helped me figure out how to approach the MMIs and avoid making common deadly mistakes. The downside is that since this book is so widely available, I’m afraid that admission rates to medical school will decrease significantly for individuals that don’t prepare beforehand. It’s definitely advantageous for those that are able to get their hands on a copy.
